Toddling Tigers Toddler Room

Our Toddling Tigers room is designed to support learning and development from 1-3 years.

 

Environment

 

• The Toddling Tigers room features zones which allow children to explore different types of learning and play

• The larger room in comparison to our Little Lions Room enables more parallel play and social interaction with peers

• Age-appropriate toys and natural resources inspire curiosity, promote social interaction, imagination, problem solving and self discovery

• The environment promotes physical, emotional, cognitive and social skills

​Personal, Social and Emotional Development

• Develop confidence and a sense of self

• Learn to express feelings and begin to understand others'

• Start building relationships with peers and familiar adults

• Show increasing independence (e.g. feeding, drinking from open top cup, dressing, making choices)

Communication and Language

• Expand vocabulary and sentence use

• Respond to and ask simple questions

• Enjoy songs, rhymes and stories

• Begin following simple instructions

Physical Development

• Improve balance and coordination (e.g. walking, climbing)

• Develop fine motor skills (e.g. feeding with spoon, stacking blocks)

• Become more aware of their bodies and physical abilities

• Start developing toilet training readiness (usually by age 2-3)
