Government funded childcare
Government funding is intended to cover the cost to deliver up to 15 hours or up to 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours, or additional services.
Choosing a funding model
Before accessing Government Funded Childcare families must choose between the two different funding models;
Standard Funding Model - Standard Term Time - 15/30 Funded hours per week - Delivered 38 weeks of the year
Stretched Funding Model - All-year-round - 11.25/22.5 Funded hours per week - Delivered throughout the year
Nursery Term dates can be viewed on our Nursery Term Dates page
If you are unsure which model to choose, we often recommend the All-year-round care model. We find that this supports children with settling and offers the most consistency as care is offered throughout the year. It also supports with the most flexibility for working parents or parents planning to return to work

Choosing a regular booking pattern
Families must choose a regular booking pattern that remains consistent each week
If the chosen booking pattern totals the same number of hours as the government-funded hours available, there will be no additional charges for childcare hours provided
If the chosen regular booking pattern exceeds the number of government-funded hours available, any additional hours will be invoiced at the nursery's funding hourly rate.
Funding models and regular booking requests are subject to the nursery's admissions policy and availability
Childcare without funding
For families who are not eligible for government-funded childcare, all booked sessions will be invoiced
Sessions are charged at the nursery's standard hourly rate
Sessions lasting 9 hours or more are charged at a reduced rate for long sessions
